Focus: Part-Part-Whole to 5

SOLs: K.4

Activities:

  • We will use art, paw prints, dots, and dice games to practice the concept of part-part-whole to 5.  For example, 2 and 3 make 5.  If you start with 5 and take away 2, how many are left?  It is a simpler way to approach problem solving (addition and subtraction), but we will NOT use +/- symbols.
